The School Day

School Timings

School commences at 08:30 for everyone on each school day. Children can arrive from 08:20.

The morning session starts at 08:30 and finishes at 12:00.

Lunchtime is from 12:00 – 13:00.

The afternoon session starts at 13.00 and finishes at 15.00 for all children.

In the morning, the school gates open at 08:20 and close at 08:30. After this time, children will enter by the school office.

In the afternoon, the school gates open at 14:50 and close 15:15.

Attendance

Schools count attendance each day as two sessions (am and pm). Punctuality is essential. If your child is late for school after the registration has closed at 8.30am, they are then marked as late. If your child arrives after 8.40am, they are then marked as unauthorised late. The local authority (BCP) recognise this as an absent mark. The afternoon register is taken at 13:00. Sustained lateness can result in prosecution, so we ask parents who are having difficulty with morning routines to speak with your child's Class Teacher in the first instance.

Our school is open to children for 32.5 hours a week.
