Our Christian Vision

At Moordown St John's Church of England Primary School, we believe every child is uniquely created and deeply loved by God. Inspired by Jesus' promise of "life in all its fullness", we are committed to enabling every child to experience God's love and to grow spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally and physically so they can fulfil their God-given potential.

Within our caring Christian community, we nurture the whole child through our Blossoming BEST vision. Through belonging, aspiration and educational excellence, we strive to ensure that every child flourishes, regardless of their background, circumstance or ability.

Our vision is underpinned by Luke 2:52: “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and people.” Just as Jesus grew, we encourage every child to grow to:

Belong in God’s love - Growing in understanding of who we are, how we belong, and our role in God’s creation.

Excel in wisdom - Growing in knowledge, curiosity and a love of learning.

Shine with others - Growing in confidence, compassion and character; building positive relationships.

Living out our Christian vision

Living out our Blossoming BEST vision, we encourage children to bear good fruit through the way they learn, live and serve others, using their gifts to make a positive difference in God’s world.

Our relationships, choices and behaviour policies are shaped by the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23): love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. These Christian values guide the way we live, learn and grow together as a school family.
