Hot School Lunches
From January 2026, our new hot school meals provider will be Forerunner.
How do I order Hot School Meals?
Meals will be ordered through the Forerunner portal
The deadline for ordering must be placed by midnight on the Monday of the week before the meals are needed. Example: To order meals for the first week back in January (Tuesday 6 January – Friday 9 January), your order must be completed by midnight on Monday 29th December.
What is the cost?
School meals are free for all pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. School meals are free for all pupils who are entitled to a free school meal. The qualifying benefits are detailed at the end of this letter. For children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 (KS2) who do not qualify for free school meals, there is a charge of £2.75 from January 2026. This is a reduction of 20p per meal from the current price. Parents can still opt to provide their child with a packed lunch from home, as usual.
What about special dietary and allergen requirements?
Forerunner meals are designed so that every day offers at least one dish free from gluten, dairy or egg, and they will provide at least one vegetarian option each day. For allergens and specific dietary requirements, if a child is not able to eat something from the menu, Forerunner will prepare that child a bespoke meal on an individual tray which is tailored to their requirements. What happens if I forget to order meals?
Please note that meals will only be provided to children if they have been ordered online prior to the deadline.
If you do not order a meal for your child, you will need to provide a packed lunch from home.
