A Note from the Chair of Directors

On behalf of all the Directors at Moordown St John’s, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our school.  We feel proud and privileged to support the leadership of the school. As Directors, we also share a common objective, which is the wider school community – working in partnership with you as parents and carers, as well as the staff to ensure that every child can succeed and reach their full potential  

The Directors of the school are responsible for overseeing the management side of the school: strategy, policy, budgeting and staffing. Through our close work with the school leadership team, we enable Moordown St John’s to run effectively.

Through our strong and committed working relationship with the school staff, we support the provision of an excellent education for the children who attend our church school; we are committed to ensuring that the strong Christian Ethos of the school is present in all aspects of the life of the school.

We are volunteers from the local community who bring a wide range of skills and expertise from our professional lives to the board to support and provide robust governance to the school.  We work as part of a team, towards a common goal - something that we find very rewarding and satisfying. We come to this important role with a variety of life experiences, but we are united by our commitment to the school and our core Christian values. We share the responsibility of the school, and work tirelessly to support the school’s long-term success.
